Bijou

Bijou (comprised of two sections, Bijou 1 and Bijou 2) is a South Lake Tahoe neighborhood characterized by its wide range of older and newer residential properties, and close proximity to beaches, recreation, shopping, casinos and nightlife.

The main draw in Bijou is the impressive variety of recreational activities, much of which is within walking distance, if not a short drive or shuttle ride. Residents and visitors are a stone’s throw from Bijou Community Park, which—in addition to being a pleasant place to stroll, relax, and barbecue–features amenities such as basketball and volleyball courts, a BMX bike and skateboard park, a dog park, a historic railroad exhibit and one of the best disc golf courses in the US. Located at 6,243 feet , Bijou’s lower elevation and flat topography yields consistent sunshine and easier travel, especially in the snowy season! Most Bijou single-family homes for sale are small- to mid-range in size, though most include 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and boast sprawling meadow and/or mountain views.
